I was very impressed by you, Jon, when we were thinking of renting out Eric’s mother’s house and you gave me such helpful advice without any hint of sales pressure. Then when we took the plunge and had to refurbish the property ready for tenants, Sharon in your lettings department acted as an unofficial project manager liaising with builders and suppliers while finding us ideal tenants. You acted as managing agents for five years and were always so helpful and obliging, sorting any problems quickly and calling on your portfolio of trusted and reasonably priced experts to handle any maintenance issues, which was invaluable for us living a distance away and not knowing local firms or being available to get down to Burgess Hill to sort a problem. When we eventually decided to sell the property, Chris and Emily showed the same dedication and care, keeping us informed, offering advice when needed and liaising with all the solicitors, agents and property owners in the chain to urge the sale through – and it really wasn’t easy! They also went way beyond expectations by keeping an eye on the empty property and alerting us to any maintenance issues then so kindly arranging for someone to come and resolve them. Woh – Matt and Nichola are amazing. Hunters is the best letting agency we have ever had the privilege to use. Fair to the landlord, fair to the tenant and fair to themselves, they strike a fine balance in this lopsided and volatile market. Enough about finances and legalities. They are simply the most empathic, decent human beings around – they achieved what their competitors could not and got us and our family (including furry, four legged friends) into a wonderful home and were there helping with a complex international move – every step of the way.
