Flat block management

Over recent years, a few firms have grown extremely fat by taking a large slice of the Block Management market, having seen the massive profits that can be made from setting up a slick operation. In using the word ‘slick’ we aren’t referring to their levels of service towards the leaseholders and owners of properties, but to their investors satisfaction and profitability. One way they do this is by creating leases with high ground rents and by putting in sections which allow them to charge for almost every eventuality, something we at Hunters feel is completely immoral and most certainly not in the best interest of the residents, particularly the investment buyers who intend to rent out their investment. So we saw there was a demand and market for a straight talking, honest and hardworking firm to get involved.

As a result of this, we at Hunters have seen a huge rise in developments taking control of their own futures by turning them in to ‘Right To Manage’ companies. Because we already run a very successful and large rental portfolio, many of our clients have asked us to help them and then look after their developments. As a result Hunters have now set up a specialist Block Management department which runs alongside our current Lettings and Property Management departments.
