This approach has created a client base that has continued to grow the business through both returning themselves and recommending others, time after time. Jon’s aim was to build a business where each client received a service totally tailored to their needs and his customers are named not numbered. This ethos has operated throughout the intervening years first from the office in Keymer Road and latterly the larger offices in Church Road.
Hunters’ current offerings extend to all areas of Residential Property including Property Sales, Lettings & Management, Mortgage Services and Block Management, giving individual advice and solutions as part of our one stop property operation. With a truly personal approach specifically designed to give clients a first class and stress free experience, based on their professionalism and knowledge, making them different to the other ‘conventional’ property companies in the market place.
Burgess Hill Office
Our Burgess Hill estate agent office on Church Road – our mission statement. With the benefits of our local knowledge and expertise, we will provide a professional and honest property service, promising all our clients an exceptional, bespoke and friendly experience. We are proud to be different. How it all began…Created in 1999 by Jon Clayson, who’s vision was to create a property business unlike any other. Having been disappointed by his own experience whilst working within other property agents, Jon wanted to offer a service that was set apart from he had experienced and truly practiced what it preached. Placing the emphasis on creating an open and honest relationship with all its clients, without exception. Hay wards Heath Office

With 5 children from 17 to 1, I really enjoy my work. Hats off to all of you who look after children full time, I sure couldn’t. Having been in estate agency since 1988 and owning Hunters since 1999, I love what we have achieved. We are known for doing a good job and in estate agency & lettings, that is some accolade. I am lucky though
because I have a really great team with me, and that makes it real easy. I do hope we get the chance to work with you soon.

Home is where the heart is and with 4 children under the roof, 5 horses, 6 cats and 3 dogs home is certainly where more work is. I came in to estate agency late in life having been occupied in 2 previous careers as a Police Officer and Senior Manager for the Security Industry. I have dabbled in property for many years completing several refurbishment properties, working in shop fitting and finally as an Estate Agent. I like to think I am a people person, which is why I love what I do with Hunters. Service is everything, and treating people as individuals rather than numbers brings great rewards. I always aim to go the extra mile for my customers and look forward to meeting you in the near future.
Apparently, I am to boring to have done anything interesting

Not sure where the time has gone but I joined Hunters in June 2007 and Started in sales, then went to lettings and now back in sales again, which to be honest I love most. I can honestly say I love my job and am passionate about doing a good job! In summer 2011 I was elected as both Town and District Councillor for Victoria Ward, Burgess Hill so most of my spare time disappears with running the country but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am a great helper, so I hope to hear from you soon.

I’m not really sure how I ended up here, as I have never bought or sold a house myself. Living at home with mum is far to cushy and easy. However, I can assure you, I am incredibly switched on and know the market inside out. I have made great progress since starting here in late 2010. Coming from an industry where I used to sell door-to-door, selling houses was a complete change of style but I am glad to say I am thoroughly enjoying it. Please do get in touch, I really do work hard at what you need because it honestly matters.

I am very lucky to be working in such a dynamic environment with fellow collegues who reflect the same work ethics as myself. Because the company is privately owned, we all make the extra effort to deliver great service with attention to detail and communication. Lettings agents are the only people outside of solicitors who are able to put together a contract of law, so the extensive training and knowledge of this field is essential to ensuring safety and financial security for all our landlords as our job is to represent their best interests at every level. We also like to make the most of the time we spend here by having a positive response to every situation and we have found that this kind of attitude naturally generates good humour and rapport with all who pass through our day. I would be delighted to discuss in more detail the reasons why Hunters Lettings is the number one in the area and how your property can be marketed to attract the very best financial gain and the best tenants on offer at any one time. Please give me a call on 01444 259611 – I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I’ve worked in the property industry since 2006 and love it! I have always enjoyed meeting & helping people and talking to anyone who will listen and, in this industry, I get to do it on a daily basis. I own my own property locally, so I totally appreciate what an important place home is, whether you are renting it or bought it. I’ve only been at Hunters a short while and they are such nice people, I already feel like one of the team. For all your rental or block management needs just pop into the office or give me a call. If I can’t give you the answer, I definitely know someone who can, so I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Favourite meal – Thai (preferably on a Thai beach)
Likes – Travel, the ocean, summer afternoons with friends and family, enjoying life
Dislikes – Miserable weather and lack of enthusiasm
Originally training and qualifying as a plumbing and heating engineer, it seems like an illogical career move coming into estate agency, but to me it made complete sense! I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled to far corners of the world, and experienced all different cultures and surroundings, but home takes some beating. It takes patience, dedication and hard work to help people find the ‘right’ property for them, everyone’s situation and circumstance is different, and that’s what makes the result all the more rewarding. House hunting should be fun and exciting, not arduous and stressful, so if I can make the process that little bit more enjoyable and efficient then that’s what I’m happy to do! Please give me a call on 01444 440400 so we can get you started on finding your perfect property!

I am still at 6th form college at Collyers in Horsham, and just over half way through my first year, and so far doing quite well. I do want to go on to university but have no idea what I want to be yet. Working for my Dad at weekends is brilliant fun. I have been there for quite a few months now and so know all the systems and properties quite well. I don’t know if I want to follow in my dad’s footsteps but I really do enjoy working here. Everyone is really nice to me and they don’t complain when I make a naff cup of tea.
